Crown Prince Unveils Esports World Cup, Cementing Saudi Arabia as a Global Esports Hub

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced the launch of the Esports World Cup, set to take place annually in Riyadh starting summer 2024. This event aims to make Saudi Arabia a global hub for esports, aligning with Vision 2030 by boosting tourism, creating jobs, and expanding the entertainment sector.

Alongside the tournament, the Esports World Cup Foundation will be established to promote collaboration and sustainability within the esports industry. The competition will feature the world's top games, the largest prize pool in esports history, and will help grow Saudi Arabia’s gaming sector, contributing over SAR 50 billion to the GDP by 2030.
